It's a small point, but it really does make a difference - to a lot when it's the one tool you have handy and the screw is buried inside of something.

Overall, the Kick is a well thought out tool, but it does have it's negatives. Due to it's light weight, the Kick feels inadequate. As it is backed by Leatherman's 25 year warranty, it is a very sturdy tool, although compared to several different tools both greater in size and smaller, it doesn't feel to be quite as robust. Also, it may come across as a little small to those with large hands.

Most importantly, even with the low number of tools on the product, it still suffers from Leatherman's infamous problem, tool clumping. How can it be, that a handle with only 3 tools in it, all pull out whenever you try to get only one? With revised designs of tools, this malfunction should be a distant memory.

The Leatherman Kick is good value for money, but not an option for a regular user or a bigger person. I would say it is better suited as a small tool for a lady's handbag or as a kid's first tool. It could be seen as a "cute" tool for those folks that don't often need tools although like to be prepared.
